Service Pilot facilitates missed-call follow-up communications on behalf of participating home service businesses.
A homeowner or consumer may receive an SMS message from Service Pilot when:
They place a phone call to a participating home service business;
The call is missed, unanswered, or otherwise not connected to a representative of the business; and
The follow-up message is directly related to the consumer's recent call and service inquiry.
Service Pilot does not initiate SMS communications based solely on website form submissions, marketing lists, purchased leads, or unrelated promotional activities.
When a participating business misses a consumer's call, Service Pilot may send an initial SMS message on behalf of that business.
The initial message will:
Identify the participating business the consumer attempted to contact;
Explain that the message is being sent from a Service Pilot-managed phone number that may differ from the phone number originally called;
Explain that Service Pilot is assisting the business with responding to missed calls; and
Request confirmation that the consumer would like assistance regarding their inquiry.
For example, the consumer may be asked to reply "YES" to confirm that they would like assistance regarding the reason for their call.
By replying affirmatively (such as "YES," "Y," or another clear indication of consent), the consumer confirms their desire to continue the conversation regarding their inquiry and authorizes further SMS communications related to that service request.
Following the consumer's affirmative response, Service Pilot may facilitate communications on behalf of the participating business regarding:
The consumer's missed call inquiry
Appointment scheduling
Appointment confirmations
Service-related information
Estimate coordination
Booking coordination
Customer support related to the original inquiry
Messages are conversational and transactional in nature and are limited to matters directly related to the consumer's request for service.
Service Pilot does not send marketing campaigns, promotional offers, or unsolicited advertising messages to consumers.
Messages may be sent from a Service Pilot-managed phone number rather than the phone number originally contacted. Such messages will identify the participating business on whose behalf the communication is being sent.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
Consumers may opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP to any message.
Consumers may request assistance by replying HELP.
